| How many searchlights do you have? Two -- a 4-head x 4000 watt Skytracker, and a 4-head x 2500 watt Beam Dancer. Both have generators. What's the difference? The Skytracker is brighter and smaller. From how far can the beams be seen? Depending on conditions, this can vary from as low as 1/2 km to more than 35 km. The farthest independently-verified distance was 62 km. However, we never make promises about visibility. Do the lights move? Yes, both our lights move in a 360° cloverleaf pattern. If needed, they can be immobilised in a still position. Do you need to keep the trailer hitched to the truck? It is preferable. If the truck must be disconnected, the client is required to provide and pay for a nearby space so we may have quick access to our tools and supplies. Where do you provide your services? Video projectors and logo projection are available across Canada. For searchlights, we generally cover the Ontario and Quebec markets. For other areas we're happy to give you a quote. Do I have to go pick up the searchlights and operate them myself? No; we provide a turn-key searchlight rental service, including delivery and operation. In some cases, such as multi-day rentals, we can show you how to run the units yourself. Do the searchlights run in rain or snow? Yes. In fact rain, snow, and fog accentuate the beams’ brightness. Can you put the searchlight on our roof? This is possible in some cases. Contact us for details. What colour can the beams be? Light colours like yellow, orange, hot pink, light blue and light green work best, while saturated colours like dark blues and dark greens darken the beams substantially. To maintain long-distance effect, we usually colour two beams and leave the remaining two white. Coloured beams are even better when they can sweep partially across your building during their movement. Can I rent it for a private party? Absolutely. How big are the searchlights? The Beam Dancer trailer is about 7' wide by 15' long. The Skytracker trailer is about 6' wide and 9' long. How loud are they? The Skytracker is 64 dBA, and the Beamdancer is 68dBA. How can we pay? We now accept credit cards (Mastercard, Visa and Amex), along with company cheques, certified personal cheques, and cash. What are payment terms? All reservations now require a 50% deposit. This is fully refundable in case you need to cancel, as long as you notify us 7 days before the equipment leaves our shop. After that it is non-refundable. Balance is due on or before our arrival. Please understand that we don't turn on the lights until we've been paid for clients without an account. |
